About and Eligibility

Program Dates: July 13- July 29, 2025 (Applications Due by Friday, September 27, 2024)

Program Leaders: Ime deCaussin, Adam Cocco, Anita Moorman

Estimated Program Cost: $3,900-$4,100 (includes tuition, airfare, accommodations, all meals and all group excursions)

Credits and Courses: Students accepted into the program will enroll in a three-credit course (HSS 598 or SPAD 561 Global Learning Program: FISU World University Games 2025 Rhine-Ruhr Region, Germany) for a portion of the Spring 2025 semester (time to take part in course, February 11 - April 22, has passed)

About the Program: Students will participate in a first hand global learning experience volunteering at the FISU World University Games, the premier international sports event for university athletes. Students will volunteer at venues across the Rhine-Ruhr Region in Germany and assist with staging competition for 8,500 elite athletes and officials from over 150 countries. In addition to volunteering and coursework, students will participate in excursions to other major cities in the region, such as Dusseldorf and Cologne.

Application Information and Eligibility: Applicants must be degree seeking (Minor, BS, MS and doctoral) students who have completed at least 45 undergraduate credit hours by the program start date. The application deadline has passed. 

Available Scholarships: Students accepted into the program are eligible to apply for a $500 need and merit-based scholarship. A $500 student leader scholarship is also available to interested students.

Program Fee Payment: All program fees are posted directly to student account. Students pay program fees via ULink utilizing the “Make a Payment” link.
