About UofL SHRM Chapter 5082
The UofL Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter 5082 is a student organization affiliated with the national SHRM association. The chapter provides students with opportunities to gain valuable knowledge and insights in Human Resource Management and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students interested in Human resource, organizational development or workforce development. Students in the BS Organizational Leadership and Learning program and the MS Human Resources and Organization Development program are automatically enrolled into the chapter.

How to Join
Joining UofL’s SHRM chapter is free for all students. Simply create an account in Engage, search for the SHRM Student Chapter, and request to join. If you are interested in a leadership role, a membership with national SHRM is required. There is also a Louisville SHRM Chapter.
Scholarships
The SHRM Foundation offers more than $500,000 in scholarships and grants annually to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in Human Resources. Scholarships are available for SHRM members and non-members alike. To learn more and apply, visit SHRM Foundation Scholarships.
Certifications
Advance your human resources career by pursuing a SHRM certification. Determine whether the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is the best fit for your career goals and check the eligibility criteria here. The SHRM Foundation also offers grants to support certification costs.
