Why is Accreditation Important?

Accrediting agencies are third-party entities whose purpose is to ensure that institutions and programs meet standards for program quality and that they are committed to continuous improvement.

For over four decades, undergraduate and graduate programs in College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) have been continuously accredited at the national and state level by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB).
