About
We are dedicated to shaping future scholars and leaders in education and human development.
History & Mission
Founded in 1968, the College of Education and Human Development has a long history of preparing students to become leaders in education and human development fields. Originally established to address the growing need for qualified teachers, counselors and administrators, the College has since broadened its scope to offer a variety of programs that impact businesses, sport organizations and physical/occupational therapy practices. For over five decades, our graduates have played pivotal roles in classrooms, counseling offices, educational administration and beyond. Through hands-on learning experiences, our students begin making a difference in their communities before they even graduate.
Our mission is to advance knowledge and foster intellectual, cultural, and economic growth. We are dedicated to supporting the well-being of all children, individuals, and families by promoting learning at the highest levels. By preparing students to improve practices, strengthen communities, and address critical social issues, we continuously strive to enhance the quality of life in our metropolitan community, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and beyond
