To complete this minor, students are required to take four core classes, as well as one elective in each discipline of sport administration, communication and business.
“This minor is a strong fit for communication, marketing, and business majors, as well as student-athletes who want to manage their own NIL opportunities,” said Regina Presley, the HSS undergraduate program coordinator.

Along with several elective options to choose from, students who minor in Business of College Athletics will be ready for careers in compliance, administration and more.
“It responds to a fast-growing demand for professionals who understand both the business and the student-athlete side of college sports,” Presley said.
Sport Administration minor
The Sport Administration minor taps into the business side of sport with core classes in leadership and ethics, marketing and strategic management. Students also have more than 20 elective options to choose from, allowing the opportunity to select specific classes that best fit their education and future career goals.
“It suits students in business, communication, exercise science, or other majors who want sport industry knowledge to pair with their primary field,” Presley said.
