Initial Guidance for Prospective Students
Prospective graduate students should direct questions about admission and initial advising to the Graduate Student Success (GSS) office.
Faculty Advising for Admitted Students
Once admitted to the College, graduate students are assigned a dedicated faculty advisor. Faculty advisors offer personalized guidance on a variety of topics, including:
- course requirements
- practicum and internship opportunities
- research and dissertation development
- funding options
- program-specific requirements
The advisor’s name and contact information will be provided in your admission email or official admission letter. Admitted students are strongly encouraged to schedule an initial meeting with their faculty advisor early in their program and maintain regular communication throughout their academic journey.
Signed Program Sheet Requirement
Before enrolling for a second semester, students must submit a signed copy of their academic program sheet to the Graduate Student Success office. This document, signed by both the faculty advisor and the student, outlines the agreed-upon academic plan.
If you no longer have your admission letter or if your faculty advisor changes, please contact the GSS office for assistance.
